Sphera Franchise Group continues expanding the KFC network in Romania and opens the first KFC Drive-Thru restaurant in the Bran area, following an investment of approximately 1 million euro. Located in one of the country’s most visited tourist destinations, the new restaurant is designed to meet both local demand and the steady flow of tourists who travel through the region year-round.
The opening marks the Group’s sixth KFC restaurant launch in 2026, following the openings in M Park Titan and Popești-Leordeni (Bucharest), Bălți (Republic of Moldova), San Donà di Piave (Italy), and the seasonal restaurant in Nibiru. With this new opening, the KFC network now totals four restaurants in Brașov County and 113 permanent units across Romania.
The restaurant is located in Bran Plaza Shopping Center in Tohanu Nou, Brașov County, and has approximately 350 square meters, featuring both indoor dining and terrace seating. The Drive-Thru concept is complemented by a modern interior design and digital solutions that streamline the ordering experience, including self-ordering kiosks and digital menu boards positioned nearby. The restaurant operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and offers customers the Free Refill system for soft drinks, as well as a full range of ordering options, including dine-in, take-away, Click & Collect, and Drive-Thru services.

As the retail segment in the area has grown, we saw an opportunity to bring KFC to one of Romania’s most renowned tourist destinations. The new restaurant creates 30 employment opportunities, covering a wide range of positions, from Kitchen Staff and Cashiers to management roles such as Restaurant Director and Manager. Full-time restaurant team members (Crew Members) can earn a net monthly income of up to RON 3,600 starting from their third month of employment. This income level is achieved through a combination of base salary, meal vouchers, and performance bonuses granted in accordance with internal criteria. Previous experience is not required; a positive attitude, motivation, and a willingness to grow are the key qualifications sought.
