KFC opens a new restaurant in Pitesti and reaches 110 units in Romania

Sphera Franchise Group, Romania’s leader in the food service market, continues its national expansion strategy by opening a new KFC unit in the Retail Park. It is the fourth KFC restaurant in the city, after the three already existing units, two in shopping centers and one on the street.

“We are excited to bring another KFC restaurant to Pitesti and be even closer to the local community. We are already at our fourth unit in the city, which says a lot about the relationship we have built with this community and also reflects our confidence in the potential of the area. We have reached 110 units nationwide and look forward to the next opening”, stated Marian Gogu, General Manager, KFC Romania.

The new KFC restaurant in Retail Park Pitesti was built following an investment of approximately 600.000 euro and benefits from the latest design standards, operational efficiency, and digital technology. The unit is equipped with digital menus placed above the kiosks, offering customers a more fluid ordering experience.

Located in the food court area of Retail Park Pitesti (Geamana Village, Bradu Commune, DN 65B), the restaurant has approximately 120 square meters and is open daily, between 10:00 and 22:00.

Customers can consume the products inside the mall, order them for takeout through delivery apps, or Click & Collect available in the KFC App. In addition, the new unit offers the option of free refills for soft drinks.

The opening of the restaurant generates 30 new jobs locally, covering a wide range of positions, from kitchen staff to management roles. The salary package offer exceeds 3.600 lei net after the first two months and includes the basic salary, meal vouchers worth 40 lei net/day worked and other incentives. In addition, employees have access to an educational platform with over 750 courses for professional and personal development

The new unit in Pitesti is the third KFC inauguration since the beginning of 2025, after the opening of a drive-thru restaurant in Galati, the first in the network equipped with photovoltaic panels, and a unit in Mall Moldova Iasi. In total, this year, KFC Romania allocates an investment budget of 54 million lei for the expansion of the network, the modernization of existing restaurants, and the continuation of digitalization.
