KFC -The ‘Harvest’ food donation programme

Harvest is an international food waste reduction programme for supporting communities in need and reducing the carbon footprint, implemented in various countries such as the US, Puerto Rico, Great Britain, Canada, Spain, Italy, South Africa, and now Eastern Europe. Each year, KFC donates internationally over 1,600 tons of protein-rich foods to non-governmental organizations.

 The Harvest programme in Romania

KFC Romania launched the Harvest programme locally in 2017. Among the KFC Romania products being donated there are iconic products such as the Zinger fillet, Fillet, Fillet bites, Crispy Strips or pieces of chicken.

The Harvest programme is very important to us because it gives us the chance to have a positive impact on society and on the environment.

The first organization to participate in this project was the Caritas Association Bucharest. For more details on the Harvest programme please access the website.
