Also, following the closing down of most of its restaurants, Sphera Franchise Group has decided to redirect part of the raw materials (food products) to different organizations in Bucharest and in the country, who support people coming from disadvantaged environments. During difficult times, it is critical to look after people who have no support and are very exposed to the virus and who lack bare necessities, food included. Up until now, Sphera donated raw materials of over 38,000 euro to the following NGOs: Caritas Bucharest, The Humanitarian Organisation Concordia, SOS Children’s Villages, Touch Romania Organization – The maternal centre “Home Agar”, Bucuria Darului Brașov, Saint Helen Parish, the project People of the Street, Caritas Federation in Timişoara.

“It is now the time to join forces in order to support the health care system and the communities in the containment of the coronavirus epidemic. Even though, we, as a business, are going through a rough moment by closing part of our restaurants in the Group’s portfolio, we are here to contribute with the means at our disposal. We are confident that the organizations we collaborate with have the measures and knowledge to best use our support. Given the fact that we continue to have some of the KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants still working through the delivery system, we have taken all the necessary measures to reinforce and increase the safety procedures already in place. Our goal is to protect our employees and consumers, so that they are able to access quality products for home delivery, as recommended by the authorities for the moment”, said Georgios ARGENTOPOULOS, Chief Executive Officer Sphera Franchise Group.
